About Weathered Together Market

Located in the historic district of beautiful downtown Albany, Oregon, Weathered Together Market is owned and operated by us — sisters and native Oregonians Renee and Maria! We love getting creative, finding good deals and seeing other creatives like us thrive. One of our main goals is to support other downtown businesses, as well as our amazing vendors and consigners. When we’re not at the market, you’ll find us thrifting, upcycling furniture, wandering around outdoors and making things with our hands. To our customers, we hope that our passion for color and pulling items together in new and interesting ways inspires you! Follow along on Instagram and Facebook to see what’s new at the market!

Our History

Weathered Together Market has a faithful following of customers who began shopping at our location back when it was operated by Jill as Downtown Shabby. Then it evolved into Oak Creek Collection Marketplace, run by husband-and-wife team Summer and Larry, who still supply us with their Oak Creek Collection of handmade jewelry and accessories for purchase here.

Our Local Focus

Whenever possible, we bring in unique finds from local makers, as well as thrifted items and secondhand wares, uniques and antiques, recycled and upcycled home goods, charming vintage treasures, and new and used clothing, including a fabulous collection of flannels, perfect for the Pacific Northwest. We also carry locally made souvenirs, such as stickers, hats, water bottles and wine coolers. From holidays to birthdays, we have a gift for everyone on your list!

About Renee

A vendor since the days of Downtown Shabby, Renee began filling in behind the front counter regularly back in 2016. She now oversees all of the day-to-day operations at Weathered Together Market.

An elementary school teacher, Renee has found the market to be a wonderful creative outlet for curating home décor and gently used clothing. She would describe her own personal style as “country farmhouse” and has an affinity for all things vintage.

Fun fact: Renee owns 50+ vintage suitcases, which are available to rent through Twelve & 5, her wedding and event rental business. A country girl at heart, she dreams of one day acquiring a beautiful rustic barn in the country to convert to rental space for events.

She finds inspiration outdoors and by traveling the world virtually, learning about new destinations and the history of people and places. If you’re visiting from out of town, please stop in and say ‘Hello.” Renee would love to know all about the place you call home.

About Maria

Maria has been an artist since she was a little girl, painting rocks near the water on family vacations. When she enters a creative rabbit hole, she finds that her newest endeavor builds upon the last and her creative tools continue to grow.

In her role at the Weathered Together, she leans into her graphic design and photography backgrounds to create a cohesive experience for customers on social media and at the market. Maria draws energy and inspiration from the changing seasons, pulling together colors and textures, whether it’s interior decor, clothing, collage or paint on paper.

As a maker, Maria admittedly travels a fine line between artist and hoarder because she can see the potential in the objects around her — don’t ask her how many coffee mugs she owns right now just because they feel ‘just right’ in her hands.

Incredibly tactile, Maria has been known to ask friends and family to feel whatever paper she’s obsessed about in the moment and hear her explain why it’s “working” or not. As part of her artistic exploration, Maria has begun making paper from discarded scraps to turn into book covers. Look for her book covers at Weathered Together Market, sold under her handmade business, The Lucky M.

If you’re a fellow maker, stop by and chat with Maria about your latest creative projects and sources of inspiration!
